Two months old...almost

This little guy is just a couple days away from being 2 months old.  And yes, on one hand it's hard to believe it's already been 2 months and on the other hand  it's a little difficult to even remember life without him.  What a blessing he's been to our lives.  And no, the novelty has NOT worn off with Addison yet.  She's as excited about him today as she was 2 months ago.

We're fighting what might be a losing battle on paci vs. the thumb.  I love this picture because he's looking right at me like he knows he just got busted!

July and August Catch-Up

It has almost been a whole month since our last post.  Obviously that doesn't mean nothing blog-worthy has happened in that time; it's just been the challenge of finding the time to do it!  So I'm going to try to summarize the last 30 days in one blog post.  Here goes:

1.  We drove to New York for the last week in July to celebrate Christmas in July with my family.  This was our 5th year in a row sharing this new tradition together and it just gets better every year.  It's the one time of year we all venture out from our various corners of the country and come together.  Cherished times and sweet memories.

Ethan got to meet Great-Grandma Liddick.

Grandma Liddick, Aunt Linda, and my cousin Kristen's family were able to join us for an evening while we were there.  So good to have everyone together, but we wished we'd had Uncle Glenn and cousin Sarah's family there as well!

2.  The day after we returned to Indiana, Ethan turned 1 month old!

3.  Some wonderful women from church threw a baby shower for Ethan.

4.  Ethan had his first playdate.  One of the couples in our small group had a baby the day after Ethan was born so we just had to get the boys together so they could start bonding.  Addison of course was in heaven because she had double the babies to go ga-ga over.

5.  On August 4th, David and I celebrated 12 wonderful years of marriage!  We had a lovely dinner out at Maggianos together, but only managed to get a picture of just me.

6.  David and Addison spent a week with Grandma and Grandpa Gafford while David completed his final class to finish off his master's degree.  (He'll graduate in December).  Ethan and I stayed back in Fishers and had some sweet bonding time.  He also started doing this:

 7.  David's sister's family came to Indiana for the weekend to celebrate Nate's graduation from Wesley Seminary.  It was great to have the whole family together, even for just one day.
