Well, we've wanted to add another post for a week now, but currently our lives are really lacking in blog-worthy news. We could have told you about the new parks we built on "Roller Coaster Tycoon," or how bored we are (being unemployed), but we didn't think that sounded very interesting. So, therefore the highlight of our week has been meeting our friends Mike and Laurel at Don Pablo's for dinner tonight! We celebrated an early birthday for Melissa since our dear friends will be abandoning us for a five-day cruise to the Caribbean. They'll be celebrating Melissa's actual birthday in Jamaica.... without Melissa. Don Pablo's being one of our favorite restaurants, we always look forward to the warm queso dip, fajitas, and chocolate volcano cake.
In other news, we're hoping to attend a "For Sale By Owner" seminar either tomorrow or Saturday to figure out if that's the route we want to go. We figure we probably ought to list the house pretty soon whether we have an official job lined up or not. You never know how long it will take to sell. If anyone has any home-selling advice, feel free to share. This will be our first time.

Yay for Don Pablos! I wish you guys the best as you navigate this transition period. You have each other, a dog, and lots of people that love you...not bad. Blessings!
Ding Ding!
Melissa, what a beautiful girl you are!!! Love the picture of you guys.
Angie :)
You're so sweet!
My selling advice (based on countless hours watching HGTV) is to stage it. "Studies show" that staging your house brings more and better offers. BTW any job leads...? We've been thinking about you guys.
Plenty of leads in the works, but nothing solid as of yet...
Hang in there. Jim got his job offer for IWU on his last day at College Church and was asked to start the next morning. We had no lapse of insurance or pay - a miracle of provision from God! We will pray for His perfect timing for you but hope it is not quite that close. :)
We are currently selling our house too, with little success so far, but God is in control and we're trusting Him. Thanks Jaena for the encouraging story of God's provision for Jim. Ours has been on the market for four months and we're about to try a different realtor. My friend Karen is a huge HGTV fan as well, and she came over and helped me pack up everything that looked cluttery. Pray. That's my advice. First time I've stumbled onto your blog too. Happy birthday Melissa.
Erin
